The Artists

Oakland is full of great talents, that comes in all shapes and sizes. In order to get a good idea on the creative spirit that Oakland has, I want to interview and talk to different artists with specific niches. To contrast the Oakland Artist, who has been raised and heavily influenced by their environment, I have a few artists that aren't originally from Oakland but continue to choose to stay in the bay for their creativity sake.

Here you can read about The Artists and their stories. Each one has their own unique ability and path.

Krys was born and raised in San Jose. Being from the bay, her family grew up heavily supporting the Raiders and the Athletics, making it to where she was constantly visiting Oakland. With poetry and art, Krys channels what she sees around her and expresses it back to the world with her own twist. For a living she is a barista in Berkeley and she writes poems about her work like and the impatience customers. Krys loves the natural beauty found in daily lives of people and in the Bay she believes there are plenty to choose from.

MARGEAU

Margeau is an amazing female Bay Area painter. She has been featured in multiple Oakland art galleries including HELLA Massive, a gallery and barbershop. Her paintings are a dreamy depiction of women and glorify beauty through great colors and textures. I have always been a big fan of her work and have had the pleasure to work in the same gallery with her. She is self built and made and is a really cool person. I am really looking forward to interviewing her.
