Review sessions are led by a Tutor who has already taken and passed BRP with high marks. The session is free for students. Sessions are 4 hours long.
You may set up a session through Vicki Leung in the Office of Student Affairs.
Please designate one person in the group to be the main contact and put their name in the #1 slot.

BRP Review sessions with a tutor are free for students. Each group is allowed a 4 hour session with a tutor. In the event there are multiple groups of students requesting sessions, we may ask to consolidate the groups. Ideally, a group of 6 would have a 4 hour session, just like regular lab time. If more than 4 hours is needed, the students may either group together to pay for extra time, or go by and see the Drop-in Tutors in the Library.
There are two kinds of studio time: time for Personal Projects and Extra Lab Time. Students are allotted 12 hours per month for Personal Projects, and 20 hours for Extra Lab Time.
For the full Rules, Regulation, and Procedures for Studio Booking, please see the student handbook.
Sound students are allowed to book studios depending on if they’ve passed the requisite class. For example, passing BRP 2 allows a Sound student to book a BRP suite, but must pass IRP2 before booking the SSL6000, Neve, or SSL9000.
However, BRP students may have time in the Neve or SSL6000 if you and your group:
- Are requesting a BRP Review Session and working with an eligible OSA tutor
- Agree to deduct the time from your 20 hours/month of Extra Lab Time
- Receive approval from the course director, OSA representative, and studio booking managers
- Adhere to all rules of usage as outlined in the Rules, Regulation, and Procedures for Studio Booking.
If time is maxed out and the group would like to hire that tutor (or another tutor) for a future session in the Neve or SSL6000, they must do the following:
- Contact OSA with the same information as before, including the name of your tutor
- Agree the group will be paying the tutor his or her determined rate
- Agree to deduct the time from your 20 hours/month of Extra Lab Time
- Adhere to all rules of usage as outlined in the Rules, Regulation, and Procedures for Studio Booking.
