Who can not love and adore the sexy, bad ass Gwen Stafani. Starting off in her band “No Doubt” and then leading on a solo career, this gorgeous gal knows how to work it. Not only is she a song-writer but she also has her own fashion line. She is defiantly a hard working lady and made it in the sound industry. The song I chose “I’m Just a Girl” fits perfectly for this blog because in the song Gwen sings about how women are looked upon the society, her lyrics say it all, for example:
“Cause I’m just a girl, little ol’ me
Don’t let me out of your sight
I’m just a girl, all pretty and petite
So don’t let me have any rights
Oh … I’ve had it up to here!”
She’s inspiring in the way that she shows she doesn’t need a man to do what she does, and gives a message to all the ladies that they can make it on their own just like she did. Regardless if it’s making it in the sound industry, it’s the fact about being a woman and making it in a career, as it becomes more common everyday, it’s defiantly well deserved.
