For the beginning I need to introduce both characters as well as the game. I will do this through use of still images, as well as a voice over. From Cara, to Spencer, then finally the game itself (explained in two sentences). From these introductions we will move on to our subjects match.
For our Ending, we will have the final thoughts of our players, whether they won or lost. Afterwards, a voice over narration will end the piece, perhaps with a small animation, much like the intro one that explains the premise. “And so these two players pack up and go their separate ways…” etc.

Here are the notes for our Final Critique.
1. Elaborate more on each characters preparation.
2. More energy, more tangential.
3. Bring back the painting.
4. Use poster art first.
5. Bring us into the world first.
6. Explain that the rules are 700 pages long.
7. Keep to the blue and gold standard.
8. Bring up the friendly rivalry.
9. End with narration.
10. Use badass music for gravitas.

Sorry about the private listing. @Eliot, that’s actually not how embedding youtube links works for wordpress anymore. They recently changed it so linking the url automatically embeds it. Neat, huh?

Paris Leber wrote a new post, Rouch Cut Critique Notes, on the site 7 years, 9 months ago
Here are the notes from our critique. We have a lot to think about!
1. The beginning is a little slow
2. More B-roll footage of gameplay.
3. Add more narration for depth
4. We’d like to know even more about Cara
5. Set up the Spencer conflict at the beginning.
6. Use the game as a backdrop, introduce their gameplay at the beginning.
7. How many hours a week does Cara paint?
8. More music, more dynamic music.
9. Change the order of construction.
10. over use of compressed video could be too gimmicky.
11. Spend more time with Cara learning.
12. Level audio just a bit more.
These are what we were told to help make our project better! Like I said, we have a lot to think about, and a lot of work ahead of us!

As the leader of one of our armies, Krannon rules with an unjust but mighty fist! As a major model on the field, I thought it would be interesting to see his back story, as told on the Warhammer Wiki!

Here are some questions we will ask our Interviewees.
What was your first experience with Warhammer?
Why did you get so into the game?
How did you end up choosing (insert favorite race) ?
How has the community impacted your life?
any advice for newbies?
What is your favorite aspect of the community?
What are tournaments like?
Describe your favorite brush technique?
How many hours a week do you paint?
How many hours does one model take to complete?
What is it about the strategy that you find so enticing?

Paris Leber wrote a new post, Our Approach, on the site 7 years, 10 months ago
For this documentary, the approach we will be taking is that of a participatory/exposition piece. We will be following the story of a singular artist, from painter, to trainee, to battle commander, fielding her army against an unknown opponent. Because Paris is the coach, he will have to be on camera fairly frequently.
The big questions we want to answer are who are the people who play tabletop war games, what are tabletop war games, and why do these people spend thousands of dollars and hours assembling their army?

Absolutely. I think Pedro Kantor is up for a repaint next! Him or Grimnar, its Grimnar right? I’m always mixing up the space wolves and those Nordic names.

This is good research, the history of cannabis and glaucoma.
