Day 1

• Who are you?

I am Jerry Smith!

• What brings you to Ex’pression College?
• What drives you creatively?
• What would you like to be doing ten years from now?
• What are your biggest influences?
• What do you create?

Here I am

My name is Jerry Smith. I teach a class at Ex'pression College in Emeryville, CA called Living in a Media World. In my class students learn how to develop a nonfiction media project. My home away from home is the McLuhan Lab at Ex'pression College. The McLuhan lab is the biggest computer lab at the school. It's an open lab, a place where students know they can find tools to help them get their work done, 24/7. This photo was taken on Wednesday, April 6, 2016. This is session 6 in LMW1, and I really want students to understand the idea that a photo is a simple, direct piece of evidence.

A Photo is Evidence
