This is an original idea to show how the black struggle has evolved from a hardened history. This history branched off into two major segments for me. One one side we have the evolution of the Black Panther Party and on the other we have Jim Crow all stemming from the deep rooted oppression.

When people say ‘Racism is over, Get over it,’ they are denying the very oppressive truth of our nation. There was a reason Martin luther King Jr. lead a million man march, Montgomery boycott, end of Jim Crow. These were stemming form the very hate threaded in segregation, the Invisible Line, War on Drugs and mass incarceration of Blacks. It is now 2015 and the amount of Blacks being killed should be alarming to anyone. Every 28 hours we lose someone from our community. We are creating hashtags for the fallen faster than the weather changes. Black Lives matter was sparked by the wrongful death of 18 year old Mike Brown. Since then we have lost countless others; Sandra Bland, Sam DuBose, Tamir Rice and Eric Garner just to name a few.At some point in time we have to unite again for Social Change. We deserve equality.
