Flask mob, started in San Francisco, is a group of like minded creatives that get together once a month and take photos of their city. Along with taking photos they usually hosts private underground art galleries that are literally underground in a basement or in a cave and they usually send out an address an hour before it starts where a limited amount of guests are invited to or sometimes they would meet somewhere and have a bunch of people in costumes playing with fire which makes for an awesome picture. On their website (flaskmob.com) they cover interesting local stories about adventures they go to or underground hidden places around the world that they discover. They also try to give back to their community by hosting toy drives for younger children. A bunch of my friends including Clayton have gone to a few of these meet ups and captured some cool pictures. This is one example of the growing popularity of street photography in San Francisco.
