Through The Eye
James Frankera, Heather Freeze, Matt Wyler, Melissa Gainer
This film is about the journey of two photographers, their use of Street Photography to illustrate their common views, differences, their process and their friendship.
Our intended audience would be anyone interested in the art of photography specifically street life, between the ages of 5 to 100.
Dialogue/interviews. voice overs, the sounds of San Francisco, the BART, Danny and Jose, and background music.
OBJECTIVE OF FILM:
Audience discovery of Street Photography. To create an understanding of two perspectives and ways in which Street Photography is used to express views and create life paths.
We open following our Photographers onto BART as they begin a session of grabbing images provided in the moment by the city of San Francisco and her occupants.
We intend to discover what inspires these moments of creation, each of their perspectives. What are their motivations to take a shot and to get that shot to their expectations and ideals? Within the filming process we will catch Danny and Jose creating their shots, in the wild…as you will. Interviews in these moments followed by traditional seated interviews to flesh out how their minds work.
Editing process; [IDEA] Street view, VO/interview, actual shot created in the wild, reaction to the finished work.
