Graphic Designer

-Design print items like invitations and posters

-Design web items like emails

-Proficiency in Adobe programs

-BA in design or equivalent experience or strong portfolio

Guna Foundation is looking for a Graphic Design volunteer to help us on a project basis. We offer the opportunity to create items for fundraising and outreach, as well as possibly for in-film graphics. A good aesthetic fit for us would be high-end, culturally/historically-sensitive and modern.

We are a volunteer-run non-profit film studio with the mission of presenting a window into the beauty, spirit, and knowledge of Tibetan Buddhism. Our work supports the preservation and continued vibrancy of this wisdom tradition.

Web Designer

-Experience with WordPress and html

Assistant Editor

-Organize and log footage

-Run and maintain editing systems

-Support the Editor and post-production process

-Proficiency in Adobe Premiere helpful

Guna Foundation is looking for an individual to serve as Assistant Editor for a full-length documentary film. Our last two films have played on local PBS stations across the country, and we are also aiming to air The Great Transmission on PBS.

The Great Transmission focuses on the coming of Buddhism from India to Tibet in the 7th century and the translation efforts that followed. We usually work with full-time volunteers. We offer you housing, meals, a small stipend, and free classes related to Tibetan Buddhism. We ask for a 5.5 day workweek, openness to shared accommodations and community living, and commitment to staying through the length of the project. Flexible arrangements are possible for the right person.

IT Support Specialist

-Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software and peripheral equipment

-Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems and appropriate software

Guna Foundation is looking for a part-time IT volunteer to help us on a project basis. We currently need help with our backups and installing new Apple hardware.

Lead Editor

-BA in film or equivalent editing experience

-High degree of proficiency in Adobe Premiere

-Excellent narrative sense, rhythm and visual sense

-Support the Animation Director in creating animation assets

-Experience with After Effects, Nuke, and/or other 3D animation programs may be necessary

-We are especially seeking Matte Painters at the moment
